The Complete Nativity

Two and a half years ago I began planning to design a knitted nativity.  This Fall I began to knit.  After many hours of knitting, pulling out my work and re-knitting, I finally had the design I wanted.  The family is finished, and in the future I'm going to design add-on sets with shepherds wise men, and an angel.  Today I gave my first knitted nativity set to my mom for Christmas.  I've also begun to sell them to some friends.  If any of you are interested, you can email me to order one, and I'll add you to my waiting list.  Now, here are some pictures.

Jesus in the manger
(One of my favorite nativities when I was little allowed Jesus to be in Mary's arms or in the manger.  I always loved that, so I decided to do that with my own design.)

If you'd like to order a set of the family (Mary, Joseph, Jesus and the manger) email me at emma (at) littleknittedkittens.com to let me know.  Each set costs $50.  I use high quality materials and do very high quality work.  They are well made, and safe for children (although babies who are still at the put-everything-you-see-in-your-mouth stage should not handle the baby Jesus completely unsupervised, because he is small enough to fit in a baby's mouth).  If you're interested in being added to my waiting list, email me and I'll let you know when I have a set ready for you.

Baby Hats

What happens when you put a cute hat on a cuter baby? You get a combination more adorable than you could ever imagine! This is the cupcake hat and scarf I made for my cousin Lavender.  She doesn't look too thrilled to be wearing it in the picture, but that's called September in San Diego.  I'm sure the scarf is much more useful in New York where she is now.  And isn't she such a cute little cupcake?  Almost good enough to eat.

I love the cherry fringe!  So much fun!
A wreath of rosebuds to surround her face.
(Not the greatest picture, but still.  Isn't she darling!?)
I've made this one before, but who wouldn't want to repeat this project?  She's the cutest pumpkin I've ever seen!
I made this hat for her a while ago and thought I'd stick a picture of it up too.
Pictures of my nativity are coming soon!
